Day 1 of the Training for Internal and External Assessors on the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) at the RSU Quality Assurance Conference Room.
Selected academic leaders and University Top Officials gathered for the first day of training in preparation for the official rollout of ETEEAP at Romblon State University. The activity is spearheaded by the RSU Santa Maria Campus, the RSU ETEEAP Team, and the Quality Assurance Office, reinforcing the University’s commitment to academic excellence, accessibility, and inclusive education.
In her message, Prof. Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, University President, underscored the crucial responsibility of RSUvian educators, saying, “Your role as gatekeepers of quality is vital. Your preparedness will directly impact the lives of working professionals and adult learners who seek formal recognition of their hard-earned knowledge and skills.”
Joining the University as external experts and trainers are Prof. Dr. Jonathan U. Florida and Mr. Aljon G. Pada from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Prof. Dr. Maria Ching A. Sayang from Palawan State University, Prof. Dr. Kevien C. Dela Cruz from Technological University of the Philippines, Ms. Merigen S. Cafino and Ms. Jenalyn L. Baliong from Commission on Higher Education - MIMAROPA Regional Office. Their expertise provides valuable guidance to ensure that RSU’s implementation of ETEEAP aligns with national standards and best practices.
The two day training will continue tomorrow, equipping assessors with the necessary knowledge, tools, and evaluation frameworks to uphold quality assurance standards and successfully launch ETEEAP at RSU.
Through this initiative, RSU moves closer to opening more flexible academic pathways for working professionals and adult learners who aspire to earn a degree and advance their careers.
