Romblon State University (RSU) participated in the half-day Regional Budget Forum organized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) MIMAROPA Regional Office held at Hive Hotel, Quezon City.
Representing Romblon State University were key officials including President Merian P. Catajay-Mani, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Tomas Faminial, and selected budget and planning officers. Also in attendance were SUC presidents in the MIMAROPA region.
The activity, conducted pursuant to DBM National Budget Memorandum No. 1561, aimed to orient all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the MIMAROPA region on the proper preparation and submission of their FY 2027 budget proposals.
During the forum, RSU representatives attended presentations covering the salient features of the FY 2027 Budget Call, the prescribed budget preparation guidelines, forms, and calendar, as well as important reminders to ensure compliance with national policies.
The session also included a focused discussion on the correct accomplishment of the Physical Report of Operations (PRO), emphasizing its critical role in performance-based budgeting.
RSU’s participation provided opportunities for direct guidance from DBM officials and allowed representatives to align the university’s FY 2027 budget priorities with the latest national directives and regional expectations.
