PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan — Romblon State University achieved another regional milestone after bagging Second Place in the PULO Showcase: ASEAN Video Challenge, held on September 3–4, 2026, at Palawan State University.

The award was conferred by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) MIMAROPA, under the leadership of its vibrant Regional Director, Dir. Edna Imelda Fernandez-Legazpi.

The competition forms part of CHED MIMAROPA’s strategic initiative to establish the region as a premier hub for international education, attracting foreign students, visiting scholars, and academic leaders. Participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the region were tasked with producing creative video entries that highlighted the rich cultural heritage and tourism potential of their respective provinces, alongside the academic excellence and quality services offered by their campuses.

RSU’s entry successfully captured the distinct charm, natural beauty, and academic environment of Romblon, standing out among submissions from across the MIMAROPA region.

This recognition emphasizes RSU’s commitment to advancing internationalization, supporting regional development goals, and positioning the university as a competitive player in the global higher education landscape.
