Romblon State University continues to advance its internationalization and research agenda through the participation of four faculty members in the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship (NJYGRF) 2026–2027 at O.P. Jindal Global University, India. Through interdisciplinary research collaboration, international mentorship, and scholarly engagement, the participants are expected to strengthen global research networks, produce high-impact academic outputs, and contribute innovative and sustainable solutions that support the university's commitment to research excellence, innovation, and community development.
Romblon State University continues to strengthen its commitment to internationalization, research excellence, and global academic engagement as four faculty members engage in the prestigious Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship (NJYGRF) 2026–2027 hosted by O.P. Jindal Global University in Sonipat, Haryana, India.
The University is represented by Dr. Khrisna F. Vicente, Assistant Professor IV and Student Affairs Services Coordinator of the College of Business and Accountancy; Ms. Pinky Jee B. Albarico, Assistant Professor III and Chairperson of the AB English Language Program under the College of Arts and Sciences; Engr. Emie M. Fajel, Instructor II and Head for Research and Development Monitoring and Evaluation; and Engr. Jane Faith F. Falceso, Instructor I, Director for Innovation, ITSO Manager, and Manager of the MARBLE Research Center.
The fellowship is an international research immersion program designed to develop interdisciplinary research competencies, strengthen global academic collaboration, and enhance institutional research productivity through mentorship, collaborative research, scholarly writing workshops, innovation sessions, and international networking opportunities. Participants will engage in a month-long academic program featuring research methodology training, publication and dissemination strategies, innovation and entrepreneurship sessions, higher education discussions, and collaborative research cluster activities.
They will contribute their respective expertise in tourism and hospitality management, applied linguistics and intercultural communication, sustainability and environmental research, innovation management, water resource management, and technology transfer. Through interdisciplinary collaboration with international scholars, they are expected to produce high-impact scholarly outputs, expand international research networks, and develop innovative solutions responsive to local and global challenges.
The University anticipates that the knowledge, experiences, and international networks gained from the fellowship will contribute significantly to the advancement of research, innovation, instruction, and community engagement initiatives across the institution.
